Transfer film is a manufacturing process that many manufacturers will introduce. This process is a common technology that uses temperature to quickly print on products. What many people don’t know is that many technologies are based on transfer film. Is derived from the traditional craftsmanship, and the results are also good. For specific types of production crafts, please see the following specific content.

1. In-mold decoration process (IMD)

The in-mold decoration process is a plastic decoration technology that uses the temperature, pressure and time of plastic molding (including injection molding and blow molding) to attach functional layers, structural layers or decorative layers in the mold simultaneously. In-mold decoration is generally divided into in-mold labeling (IML), in-mold transfer film (IMR), and in-mold coating (IMC). The in-mold decoration process, especially the IML and IMR processes, has many advantages. It can effectively reduce the product reprocessing process and cycle, solve the decoration problems such as multi-sided and irregular surfaces, and improve product quality and grade.

2. Vacuum transfer process (TOM)

The vacuum transfer process is a technology that uses a thermoplastic film as a carrier and its variable characteristics of heating and external force, and realizes the contour decoration on the formed workpiece through heating, pressing and a certain time. Vacuum transfer is also called a three-dimensional transfer process or a high-pressure transfer process. Its advantage is to solve the problem of positioning and decorating workpieces with large differences in profile. Vacuum transfer process can realize the transfer decoration.

3. Thermal sublimation (air dyeing) process (Thermal Dye)

Sublimation is a decorative technique that uses the sublimation characteristics of disperse dyes (inks) to transfer disperse dyes to substrates through a substrate carrier under certain temperature, time and pressure conditions. The sublimation process was very common in fabric transfer in the early days.
